| Between 1954-1956 I was in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. In 1961 I joined the Jersey City Police Department .later I attended Jersey City State College, and in 1976, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Police Science. In 1962, I married Margaret O'Grady, a Bronx girl. We have four children, Colin, Maureen, Sean and Terrence. Thank God they are all good kids. Colin is an Oncologist / Hematologist, his practice is in Spartanburg, S.C. . Terrence is a surgical resident, at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick. Maureen has been a stay at home mom in Brielle, but is getting back into the work force, and Sean owns a flooring business in the Boston area. I feel they are my wife's and my greatest accomplishments. We have six grandchildren. I retired from the Jersey City Police Department after 35 years of service ,as a Captain . Then in 1996, I joined the Hudson County Sheriff's Office where I served as Chief of Detectives for 10 years. My most memorable travel experience was seeing the Grand Canyon and the scenic coast highway of California. My favorite teacher was Sister Laurina,----- and I once had a pet goldfish! |
