John (Satch) Lancia

John P Lancia Sr, 78, passed away with
his loving family at his side at Robert
Wood Johnson University Hospital in
New Brunswick on Jan. 19, 2013. He
was born and raised in Jersey City he
then moved to North Bergen and then to
Edison in 1972. He was an
Import/Export Manager for Louis
Dreyfus in NY and CT for many years.
He also worked for Farrell Lines in
Import/Export in Port Elizabeth for 13
years before his retirement in 1998. He
was a communicant of St. Matthew the
Apostle RC Church in Edison.

He was a loving husband, father, and
generous friend who provided care and
comfort to those in need. He had a deep
faith and loved to laugh and spend time
with his family. He was an avid Giant
fan and will be missed by all those who
knew and loved him. John was
predeceased by his parents Frank and
Mary Lancia; and his brothers Cosmo
and Anthony. He is survived by his
loving wife Maureen Lancia nee
OKeeffe; his 4 sons Frank, John Jr.,
Richard and Daniel; his 2 daughters
Joanne Grossman and Barbara Lancia;
his 11 grandchildren Kristy, Samantha,
Kevin, Eric, Marissa, Adam, Anthony,
Emily, Abigail, Grace and Nicholas.
Funeral Services will take place at 9 am
on Thursday Jan. 24, 2013 at the Boylan
Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave. Edison;
followed by a 9:30 am mass at St.
Matthew the Apostle RC Church in
Edison, interment at Resurrection
Cemetery. Family and friends are
invited to visit the family on Wednesday
from 2-9 pm at the Funeral Home.
